The Child Meal Programming Coordinator is a hands-on coordination role with significant administrative, logistical, and compliance responsibilities. Key duties include data entry and management, maintaining program records and documentation, tracking inventory and coordinating purchasing, managing email and phone communications, preparing reports, and monitoring deadlines and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate and compliant program operations.
The CMPC also serves as a liaison between program partners, volunteers, and Food Bank departments to coordinate program logistics, communicate requirements, support implementation, and facilitate training as needed. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage recurring administrative tasks while balancing competing priorities and supporting the effective delivery of child nutrition programs.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Experience coordinating programs, logistics, or operational activities in a professional setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to enter, track, organize, and report data accurately.
- Clear, effective, and professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to work with databases, spreadsheets, and other computer-based systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and balance recurring administrative responsibilities with program needs in both office and field settings.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record. Travel throughout the Food Bank's service area is required, including occasional evening and weekend hours. The Food Bank provides fleet vehicles for work-related travel when available; occasional use of a personal vehicle may be required in accordance with organizational policy.

The Child Meal Programming Coordinator role is a non-exempt, full-time role, offering an effective and healthy work culture, competitive salary, and excellent benefits. This is an onsite role based in Verona or Charlottesville and reports to the Senior Manager of Programs. Occasional evening work is required.
The hiring range is $21.88 to $24.10 per hour.
